Question

Answer

Will a National Authority profile be available in the core, with read and export functionalities only?

Jems allows the creation of "roles" similar to other monitoring systems (e.g. eMS). It should be possible to create a role "NA" where the privileges are all set to read. A user's credentials with the role "NA" can be used for the API, which allows an automated (and granular) way of extracting data from Jems.

Will there be user guides for the different user profiles (admin, programme, applicant,...) in English?

Yes, see Default roles privileges configuration

Will there be a substitution mode so that a programme user or administrator can have the same view (and/or act) as another user (applicant, beneficiary, FLC, National Authority)?

A feature for administrators to impersonate users will not be implemented.

A user is linked to one email address. Does this address correspond to one profile in one entity with access to one project only or can the same user have different profiles in different projects with the same address?

A user can only have one role assigned. Applicants can still be LP in one project and PP in another if that role is applicant. However, it will not be possible to be MA, JS (etc.) and LP/PP at the same time. An email alias is a workaround for such a scenario.

How will Jems users be linked to the relevant project?

In project privileges the applicant/lead partner can assign users for lead partner and each project partner of the approved project. See section Project privileges

Do you plan to modify & improve the access rights system of the users (e.g., to integrate the access request process of the users into Jems)?

That can be done in two ways in Jems:

  • Change e-mail template in a way where the link to activate is not provided but simple guidance to request the activation - Activation is then performed by Admin/JS accordingly.

  • [Recommended] Set the default privilege to a role where no activity can be performed other than login - Admin/JS can later change the role accordingly to the validation of the person behind the user.
